how many needles do you use?

I practice a minimal needle system, a potent style that realigns each person to their own unique wellness setting. Often using only one needle, this style of acupuncture is strong. Sometimes there will be a bruise at needle site, and sometimes some people can feel the site activated for a couple of days afterward. Occasionally I might use two or three needles at most, but generally it's one needle.

How does acupuncture work?

Acupuncture works with your own unique energies, by opening and clearing energetic channels in the body. These channels affect every system and organ in our body, as well as our spiritual and emotional bodies. One needle is placed in a very specific location depending on your body's needs, opening whichever channels were blocked and causing you issues, and consequently bringing great releif.

How many sessions do I need?

For the greatest outcome, two to three sessions in a week get the best results. In saying that, it really depends on what we are working with. A single course of acupuncture is three sessions. Chronic and complex cases will take multiple courses, and acute will take less, either way, the impact is remarkable when we cluster sessions close together. This way we can keep the channels of the body open so healing is achieved fairly quickly. The further apart the sessions, the harder it is for the body to remember and keep the channels open, especially if the conditions have been troublesome for a long time.

What can acupuncture treat?

I specialise in managing trauma recovery, CPTSD management, emotional blocks, spiritual blocks, relieving acute and chronic pain, gut issues, mood issues, women's and men's hormone imbalances, pregnancy, birth, birth preparation (including babies in sub-optimal positioning, home-births, stalled labour, milk supply problems, bleeding, post partum issues), muscle skeletal issues acute or chronic (sprains, strains, spasms, bulges, nerve pain, arthritis), and auto immune disorders alongside conventional western medicine treatments.

Can I claim with health insurance?

My sessions are claimable with AHM, Australian Unity, ARHG, CBHS, Medibank and NIB.
I don't know what the percentage of claim is, you would have to contact your provider.
I email you a receipt of payment for services, and you submit it to them for the rebate.
Unfortunately the government still doesn't recognise acupuncture under Medicare, even though we are registered under AHPRA.
Inasmuch does accept acupuncture invoices in aged care packages, for Sussex Inlet patients.
